ClearSkinPack® – Skin film for vacuum packaging

ClearSkinPack® is the self‑adhesive coextruded film developed by ITP through extensive research and development. The result of continuous innovation, it combines high technological performance with attentive, fully personalized customer support.
This film is designed for sealing on PP, PET, PS and PE, offering broad compatibility with the most commonly used materials in food packaging. ClearSkinPack® is self‑adhesive, requiring no glue, which simplifies recycling operations and reduces the use of chemicals.
In the skin packaging process, the food is first placed on the bottom support. The top film, heated and thermoformed under vacuum, then perfectly adheres to the product like a second skin. The sealing action is twofold:
• the residual heat of the film creates a tight closure around the food, and
• the edges of the support are sealed through traditional heat‑pressure sealing, ensuring complete packaging integrity.
ClearSkinPack® preserves product freshness without modified atmosphere, thanks to its barrier structure that maintains the food’s quality and appearance. The skin effect offers premium visual presentation and allows vertical display on the shelf, without the risk of detachment or product movement. The system also enables compact packaging, reducing material consumption and transport costs.
